Virat wants to be a Don

New Delhi: India Test Cricket Captain Virat Kohli is aiming high. Looking invincible at the moment, Kohli wants his team to be recalled in the same breath as was Don Bradman’s Australian team  when Kohli was not born.

This Indian team should be remembered as Don’s ‘Invincibles’, the Australian side years ago. This Indian side should be on par with the legendary West Indian side of 1980s. This is what Kohli wants, and why not, his team remains unbeaten in the last 17 matches. One more win, and the team will become the only Indian team till date to have won 18 matches without a loss.

No wonder Kohli wants to be  Don..as a captain. "We still understand we got to play a lot of cricket everywhere in the world. It's not only about this one period we are going through," the 28-year-old Indian captain said in Chennai.

Kohli is not the one to hide his feelings. "As I said it's an ongoing process which needs to be sustained for the next five, seven or eight years for us to become a top quality side and leave a mark on world cricket - maybe known as one of the best teams to have assembled on the field," he said

In prime form, the dashing  young batsman is rubbing shoulders with Bradman, after joining the elite club of those scoring  three double tons in single year. He is the first

Indian captain to win five successive series. Guess what, history is just  the Chennai Test away from Virat. A win in Chennai would mean the biggest (4-0) series win ever against England.(News24Bureau)
