Watch 'Mumbai Morning': Nothing's impossible for Mumbai gold polisher-turned-Marathon runner.

Mumbai: As the city gears up for its annual marathon, to beheld on Jan 17, documentary filmmaker Veena Rao tells a beautiful story of one of its likely participant, through her camera.  Abbas Sheikh, a jewellery polisher from Mumbai, by the day is one of the top ultra marathon runners of the country. He has won his first prize at the Bangalore half-marathon in 2013, completing a distance of 75 km in 7.23 hours, which actually brought him to the fame.  The documentary captures the rigorous routine of Sheikh as he dedicates 12 hours of his day to his job and rest of it to feed his passion for running. Rao conjures up picturesque description of the Island city of Mumbai and crisply narrates the story in her short film.  In the seven-and-a-half-minute long documentary, Sheikh says, "Nobody knew me earlier. But now wherever I go, people know me, they know who Abbas is. I always want to be associated with running, expressing his love for running. I never want to quit."  The 42.194 km-long marathon will consist of all the types of runners from amateurs to the professionals.
