New Delhi, March 9: Facebook-owned WhatsApp has over 1.2 billion users all over the world and 200 million monthly active users just in India. The company keeps on revising its features with regular updates to make it more reliable and user-friendly.
WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp update tracking website has reported that the messaging app company is in plans to roll out a new update for Android users which will allow users to delete a message for everyone within a time limit of 68 minutes and 16 seconds while now users have a time limit of 7 minutes.
Apart from the delete for everyone feature, WABetaInfo has spotted a Locked Recording for voice message record button and sticker pack size display.
In its beta version, WhatsApp has also introduced an adaptive launcher icon for Android Oreo OS.
The new icon is almost same as the old WhatsApp icon. However the new icon is placed in an encased mask and its shape can be changed as per your choice ranging from square, squircle, circle, rounded square and teardrop.
Last feature that was reported WABetaInfo's report was that the company is planning to label forwarded messages on the top to show if it has been forwarded from another, or same chat. This move is seen as the first steps to combat spam and fake news.
However, these features are in testing mode and will take time till the feature goes live for everyone.
