New Delhi, May 14: Xiaomi has been launching smartphones almost every month for its domestic and Asian markets. Now a report has surfaced online suggesting a list of smartphones that the company is planning for European markets. The highlight of the listed smartphones is Mi 7 Lite that seems to be a mid-range variant of the anticipated Xiaomi Mi 7 flagship. The Chinese smartphone maker is expected to launch the Mi 7 on its 8th-anniversary this month. Other handsets like Mi S-series, Redmi 6-series, Redmi A-series are also part of the list.
Another list of smartphones was spotted on EEC website which is a regulatory body in countries such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Some handsets like Mi Mix 2s and Redmi S2 are on the list that has been already launched in other markets.
New smartphones that are on the list, are Mi S-series of smartphones - Xiaomi Mi S1, Mi S2, Mi S3 - alongside Redmi S1 and Redmi S3. We will also get Mi Mix 3s which will be a successor to Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s. However, there is no mention of a Mi Mix 3 smartphone.
The EEC list also includes Redmi A1 and Redmi A2. Additionally, we will have successors in the Xiaomi Redmi Note series - Redmi Note 6, Redmi Note 6A, Redmi Note 6a Prime, Redmi Note 6 Prime, Redmi 6 Plus, and Redmi 6a Plus - as well.
The important thing to note in the list is that it was filed on May 11 and valid up to December 31, 2023 hinting that some smartphones from the list may not even launch the current year 2018. It is unlikely that Xiaomi will launch Mi Mix 3s in 2018 but we can expect Redmi 6 lineup this year or early 2019 with Mi 7 Lite and one handset from Mi S-series in 2018
