New Delhi, February 16: Xiaomi's Mi MIX 2S had been making news with its daily leaks and rumours and raising curiosity level of the Xiaomi fans. I addition to all rumours, now some firmware files have revealed various specifications of the smartphone. If reports to believed Mi MIX 2S could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and will feature latest Android experience. Earlier reports claimed that the Mi MIX 2S will be launched at MWC 2018 later this month, however, the company is yet to make an official announcement.
Qualcomm and Xiaomi announced their partnership on the Snapdragon 845 in December, but companies didn't reveal any particular model that will feature the latest SoC, but Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun then suggested the latest processor could power the upcoming Mi 7. However, recent rumours suggested that the company could bring the Mi MIX 2S instead of the Mi 7, which hints that Mi MIX 2S would be the first to come with the latest Snapdragon processor.
The firmware files also report that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is codenamed "polaris", and will run Android 8.0 Oreo. Apart from this, firmware files suggest that the smartphone will come with an FHD+ display that will have 18:9 aspect ratio and will be backed by a 3400mAh battery.
Some leaked render posted on the Chinese site Weibo even hinted that the smartphone can have 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS onboard storage, a dual rear camera setup with two 12MP sensors, and global 4G LTE bands.
