New Delhi, Feb 23 Buoyed by its performance in the fourth quarter last year, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Wednesday launched two devices -- Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro along with "Mi TV 4" in the price-sensitive Indian market.
It was the first sale of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro along with "Mi TV 4" held on February 22nd 2018, As per the company 3 lakh units of smartphones went out of stock in 180 seconds while "Mi TV 4" in 10 seconds.
Xiaomi India took it to Twitter to announce the record-breaking sale of "Mi TV 4" but didn't reveal the number of units that were available during the first sale.
Xiaomi also launched a smart LED TV called "Mi TV 4" (55-inch) with 4K panel along with HDR10 in India.
At just 4.9mm slim, the Rs 39,999 TV is the world's thinnest LED TV and comes with an intelligent content-first "PatchWall" software, redesigned for India.
"We are excited to kick off 2018 with three exciting products -- Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note Pro and Mi LED TV 4 and hope that Mi Fans will enjoy the new technology," Jain added.
With 26.8 percent market share, Xiaomi emerged as the top smartphone vendor in the Q4 2017 in India, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC).
The next sale of the "Mi TV 4" is scheduled for 27th February at 12pm on Flipkart.
